very loud noises/ sounds like in DJ, pubs, festivals, ( above 60-70) dB can cause severe damage to ears and hearing. it can cause cochlear damage, damage to hearing nerves, leading to hearing loss, Tinnitus ( constant sensation of sounds in ear without external source) and vertigo/ dizziness as well. if this is not treated on emergency basis say withing a week, damage will remain permanent and irreversible. Hence 1. Avoid exposure to such noises, 2. if you are accidentally exposed, get your hearing tests done. 3. if you have any of the above complaints, get it treated urgently.
