Covid vaccine and menstrual cycle. There is lot of confusion created by Wass ap messages. Here are some verified facts for our patients. There is no evidence that immunity bis low during menstruation/periods. Any female can take vaccine during menses, before and after menses. However if a lady suffers from abdominal pain, weakness during menses, she may take vaccine after her periods are over. As per govt guidelines, pregnant and breastfeeding mother's should not take vaccines. This is because sufficient research of safety in these categories is lacking.
